Dr.
Niels H. Lauersen
Advocate
For Women’s Health Care
Dr.
Niels H. Lauersen is the foremost Advocate
for Womens Health Care in America today. He
was forced to go to prison for his outspoken
belief that all people have a right to Infertility
Treatment; especially Womens Health Care Needs.
This
issue does not only involve women but men as
well.
Fourteen
days after his conviction New York State
passed a Sweeping Womens Health Care Reform
Bill MANDATING Infertility Treatments for
all New York State Residents. SInce that
time many other states have followed their
example. New Jersey, Connecticut, and Washington
state.
His
pro-life advocacy and work in women’s
health care rights made him a target for many
constituencies and a scapegoat for the purpose
of proving the new criminal statutes
in HIPPA.
By
followed his Hipprocratic oath, advocating
for women in all forums and an out-spoken critic
of insurance companies who refused to cover
Infertility Treatments. He publicly argumented
that Insures are required to provide these
services for all women, especially Women's
Health Care while protecting his patients
privacy. His many requests to insurance
companies were followed by denial of payment/reimbursement
for his services rendered.
Had
Dr. Niels H. Lauersen not followed his calling
to Advocate for Womens Health Care Rights this
sweeping Health Care Reform legislation MIGHT
have never happened. For this; the government
sentenced him to many years in a Federal Prison.
Was
a retroactive provision placed in the Health
Reform legislation? The government had used
his case as it's legal case law for all future
White Collar crime cases that were prosecuted
after this conviction. Dr.
Lauersen lost everything because he refused
to pay a $1 Million Dollar civil fine.
